LIFE bioCEEd was pleased to participate in the Alliance4Life Industry–Academia Roundtables hosted by Alliance4Life and CEITEC in Brno, represented by our CEO, Stefan Savić.
The event brought together researchers, technology transfer professionals, industry representatives, investors, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders from nine European countries to discuss one of the key challenges facing European innovation: how to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry and accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into real-world solutions.
The discussions reinforced what we observe daily through our investment and commercialization activities across Central and Eastern Europe. The region is home to exceptional scientific talent and high-quality research; however, unlocking its full potential requires stronger connectivity between academia, industry, investors, and technology transfer organizations.
Several recurring themes emerged throughout the roundtables, including improving the visibility and accessibility of academic expertise and research infrastructure, simplifying engagement between companies and research institutions, strengthening technology transfer capabilities, and creating more opportunities for researchers and industry representatives to build long-term partnerships.
These priorities closely align with LIFE bioCEEd’s mission. We believe that innovation delivers its greatest impact when scientific excellence is combined with entrepreneurial thinking, strategic investment, and effective commercialization support. Bridging these worlds is essential to transforming promising research into technologies that improve patient outcomes and create economic value.
The roundtables provided a valuable platform for exchanging perspectives and identifying practical ways to strengthen the innovation ecosystem across Central and Eastern Europe. As an organization dedicated to supporting early-stage life science innovations, LIFE bioCEEd remains committed to fostering collaboration and helping bridge the gap between scientific discovery and real-world impact.
We would like to thank Alliance4Life, CEITEC, the moderators, and all participants for the insightful discussions and collaborative atmosphere. We look forward to seeing many of the ideas and connections established in Brno evolve into future partnerships and successful innovation projects.
